Solutions designed using .Net compact framework
will be deployed on hand-held devices such as,
mobiles used by the field force. The device will
be having a local database to maintain data which
will be synchronized with the SAP system on a
time and need basis.
The iNotify Server is basically an SMS server
which functions to receive and send SMS. The
request for any transaction will be sent as
an SMS to it. The request will be stored in
the iNotify Server SQL database as a new query.
“Integrator’ which is a main part
of this solution reads any new query from the
SQL server database and sends this data to the
SAP system using RFC. It gets the status back
from the SAP system and updates the same to
the iNotify SQL server database. The iNotify
Server in turn sends the new status as an SMS
to the hand-held device that sent the request.
The application on hand-held device that keeps
track of all incoming SMSes updates the corresponding
transaction status.
