Why Upgrade?
Even if significant mainstream maintenance is available
for mySAP ERP predecessors, every SAP customer should
start considering an upgrade strategy. An upgrade project
not only brings efficiency to existing processes but
presents exciting opportunities to consider new components
from mySAP ERP business suite and significant technical
advancements with new technologies.
Despite all the benefits, an SAP upgrade project
can be intimidating due to limited in-house knowledge,
lack of insight to estimate time and resource requirements
and the resource intensive nature of upgrades. An
upgrade project can meet all those expectations when
it is done correctly. Done poorly, with missed steps
and ill planning, it can be unnecessarily costly and
far away from expected returns.
