Princeton, NJ November 08, 2010 – Intelligroup, an NTT DATA Company, focused on information technology consulting, enterprise applications and outsourcing services announced today that it has been recognized as a first runner up for the 2010 Supply Chain Operational Excellence Award. This award is given annually by the Supply Chain Council, a global nonprofit association. Intelligroup received the award at the recent Supply Chain World Europe meeting in Munich, Germany.
Intelligroup’s recognition was based on a recent supply chain project for a leading technology supplier for the energy business. The project helped Intelligroup’s customer to stabilize the supply chain planning process from both a systems and business perspective. Working along with the business leaders, Intelligroup helped to resolve business pain points and gain confidence in the planning process for the business units. Some of the key metrics for success included reduced product planning cycles, upward trending in performance which was driven by lower turnover, reduced inventory holding costs, all resulting in an optimized supply chain. Intelligroup has a strong Supply Chain Practice that delivers advanced business consulting and technology based solutions leveraging ERP platforms.
The Supply Chain Operational Excellence award recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence in the design, operation or improvement of a supply chain and is designed to encourage the continuous advancement of the supply chain management body of knowledge and the sharing of that information.
“Intelligroup is proud to be recognized by the Supply Chain Council for our expertise and operational excellence,” said Bhalchandra Bhosale, Senior Vice President of SAP Practice for Intelligroup. “The recognition reflects our experience in optimizing global supply chains for competitive advantage, and leveraging our expertise and the SCOR methodology to achieve tangible results and delivering quantifiable benefits to customers.”
"Intelligroup clearly demonstrated the value that they are delivering to customers in the supply chain on both the business and technology front," said Melinda Spring, member service director for Supply Chain Council. “We are happy to recognize the excellence and the contributions of Intelligroup in the supply chain domain."
