Intelligroup
Helps Cox Ohio Publishing Improve
Business Processes, Extend SAP
System Functionality
Edison, NJ, March 21, 2005:
Intelligroup, Inc., a global
provider of strategic outsourcing
services and an IT partner to
some of the world’s largest
companies, today announced the
successful completion of critical
enhancements to existing SAP
systems for Cox Ohio Publishing,
a unit of one of the nation’s
largest newspaper publishing
groups, Cox Newspapers, Inc.
In a series of short projects
aimed at improving important
Financial Accounting, Human
Resources, and Payroll business
processes, Intelligroup consultants
worked with Cox Ohio Publishing
management and users to extend
the SAP system and resolve a
backlog of issues.
The recently completed projects
included improvement of SAP
Compensation and Benefits Administration
systems in order to streamline
and automate business processes,
enabling Cox Ohio Publishing
to roll out new and improved
benefits and compensation plans
while eliminating manual steps.
Additionally, Intelligroup developed
an interface between the newspaper’s
SAP system and corporate-level
PeopleSoft systems designed
to improve corporate reporting
capabilities.
“Intelligroup is committed
to understanding our business
requirements, and their expert
consulting staff has allowed
us to deploy these solutions
quickly so that we can realize
true business benefits and cost
savings,” said Bob Zikias,
CFO of Cox Ohio Publishing.
“We have relied on them
to identify and implement significant
new functionality that will
allow us to see greater return
on our investment in these systems.”
“Intelligroup brings to
the table a unique blend of
technology expertise and business
process skills,” said
Kelly Webster, Director of IT
– SAP for Cox Newspapers,
Inc. “As a strategic partner,
Intelligroup has made significant
contributions not only to our
SAP systems, but in other important
areas as well. They have led
a number of initiatives as we
develop our strategy around
important IT infrastructure,
organizational design, and support
issues, and we value the relationship
we have developed with them.”
Extending the value of existing
business systems is one way
in which Intelligroup helps
its partners enhance Return
on Investment and reduce the
Total Cost of Ownership. “We
have been able to quickly identify
opportunities for process improvement
and achieve fast realization
of new value from an existing
SAP system. By taking the approach
of achieving ‘quick wins’
for our client, we have helped
deliver immediate value,”
said Frans Sluiter, Senior VP
of Intelligroup. “We are
proud of our strategic partnership
